India’s Top 10 Self-made Entrepreneurs Of the Millennia 2024: India, currently the fifth-largest global economy, has seen remarkable growth in its entrepreneurship in recent years.

World Economic Forum (WEF) called India the 3rd largest startup ecosystem in the world, following the United States and China.


Hurun India’s recent list has ranked the top 200 self-made entrepreneurs of the millennia, with Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Gurugram emerging as epicentres of innovation.

According to the same report, 121 billion-dollar companies were founded by self-made entrepreneurs of the millennia, up by 15% compared to last year.


Collectively, these companies boast a staggering valuation of INR 36 lakh crores, registering a 20% growth compared to last year, thereby signifying their substantial contribution to India’s economic growth.


In a notable mention, Radhakishan Damani, whose flagship business, DMart, grew by 44% to register a valuation of INR 3.4 lakh crore, retains the number 1 spot in India’s top self-made entrepreneurs of the millennia, 2024.


Following next, Deepinder Goyal of Zomato and the founders of Swiggy, Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy, respectively hold the second and third spots in the list.

Remarkably, Zepto’s Kaivalya Vohra, 21, and Aadit Palicha, 22, grew by 259% to reach INR 41,800 crore and are the youngest entrepreneurs on the list.

In a notable mention, the founders of Zepto, have also emerged as the youngest Indian billionaires in 2024, as per Hurun Rich List 2024.

While the gap between male and female entrepreneurs has almost closed in recent years, Falguni Nayar, 61, founder of Nykaa, stands at the tenth position in the list, while she tops the list of women entrepreneurs in India’s Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024.
